Yet another reason why I love this place

March 13th, 2008

Yes, it’s beautiful here. There absolutely no doubt about it. This picture was taken a few months back. I just walked outside my back porch to snap this one.

I will be double posting for awhile until the other site has transitioned over. Please go to http://ashfork.net

Another White Monday in Ash Fork

February 4th, 2008

The snow came down hard last night around 7:00pm. I took a couple of pictures, looking out from the front porch and back porch. When I looked this morning, all I could see was white everywhere. The snow packed in pretty good, but the sun is shining now and the snow is melting slowly. I managed to walk out a few and snap this picture.

You better believe it. It seems that the snow in Williams never melts. This picture was taken a few days ago.

The snow came down hard in Williams, Flagstaff, Bellemont

January 25th, 2008

Ash Fork did not get much snow. Mostly rain fell here mixed with a little snow, but Williams and Flagstaff received a lot of snow. The San Francisco peaks are beautiful. I was stuck in Williams for over and hour. The roads were pure white, no tire trails at all, and fog was setting in so I got off of Interstate 40 and headed into Williams to wait it out. About 200 truckers were parked along the rest areas and other places (out of the way). A picture to follow.

Snow is coming again

January 21st, 2008

This picture will give you an idea of how much snow we got. I think we are getting more snow later on in the week, but I’m not sure we will get this much. It’s cold here, but beautiful. I am going to this shot for my Christmas cards next year!

A Christmas card snowfall in Ash Fork

January 19th, 2008

This picture was taken about 10 days ago just show everybody how much snow we had. I was snowed in all day, so I lit a fire, relaxed and read a good book. Next week, the weatherman says “more of the same”. I will be getting out the camera to take some more pictures of this beautiful land.
